Health information is retained in accordance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements in Québec and Canada, then securely deleted or anonymized once it is no longer required for care delivery or administrative and legal purposes.

5.2 Data transfer and processing

Data may be processed by trusted third-party service providers that follow the same high standards of security and confidentiality as LASO MD. No health data are ever sold or shared for commercial purposes. If any data are transferred or stored outside Canada, LASO MD ensures equivalent safeguards are in place to maintain confidentiality and data protection.

These Terms of Use (“Agreement”) constitute a legal agreement between you (“User” or “You”) and LASO MD (“we”, “our”) governing your access to and use of the LASO MD website, lasoteleconsultation.com (the “Website” or “Platform”), as well as the services provided through it (the “Services”). By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to comply with and be bound by this Agreement. We may modify this Agreement at any time, at our sole discretion. 2. Medical Emergencies and Important Notice

The Platform is not intended for medical emergencies. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 immediately or go to your nearest emergency department. Telemedicine has limitations (e.g., technical issues, absence of a physical exam) and may not be appropriate for all medical conditions.

You must safeguard your account credentials and are responsible for all activity occurring under your account.
If you suspect unauthorized access, you must notify us immediately.
We may suspend or terminate access in cases of security risk, fraudulent activity, or violation of these Terms.

7. Fees, Payments, and Renewals

Fees for consultations and other Services are displayed on the Platform. You authorize us to process payments through secure third-party providers. For subscription or membership plans, unless otherwise specified, payments may renew automatically until canceled in accordance with the Cancellation Policy below. Applicable taxes may apply. In the event of a payment dispute, you agree to contact us first for prompt resolution.

8. Cancellation and Refund Policy

You may cancel or reschedule appointments with at least 24 hours’ notice. Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance may incur a fee; missed appointments may result in forfeited fees. Unless otherwise specified, membership fees are non-refundable. Any approved refund will be processed through our internal system within a reasonable timeframe.

9. Authorized Use and Prohibited Conduct

Do not copy, distribute, or modify Platform content without prior written consent.
Do not disrupt or compromise the security or functionality of the Platform.
Do not solicit controlled substances, inappropriate prescriptions, or violate applicable medical regulations.
Do not impersonate others or provide false or misleading information.

10. Electronic Communications and Consent

You consent to receive electronic communications (emails, notifications) related to your account and Services (e.g., appointment reminders, consultation summaries, payment confirmations). You may manage some preferences in your account, subject to necessary operational and legal communications.

11. Intellectual Property

The Platform, including its design, text, logos, trademarks, and content, is owned or licensed by LASO MD. Any unauthorized use or reproduction is strictly prohibited.

12. Service Availability and Modifications

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services, with or without notice, for reasons including maintenance, improvement, or compliance. We make reasonable efforts to maintain service continuity but do not guarantee uninterrupted access.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, LASO MD shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or business interruption, arising out of or related to the use—or inability to use—the Platform or Services.
